Chapter 3
Mystery of the Triplets

The last we left our heroes, Alex and Mew have trekked the desert to an abandoned ghost town where Sage Jirachi gave the hero a look at how the kids were doing in Mr. D's fortress and also gave a warning about an even powerful threat before pointing them to the location of the triplet sages.

Meanwhile at Mr. D's castle, the dastardly Reuniclus was trying to figure out a plan to get rid of the heroes once and for all. "There must be something i can do, but what?" Mr. D asked himself upset at the latest failures of his goons. "Perhaps i could be of assistance your blobbyness." A stranger said. A strange card flew into the throne room, and appeared was a strange Mr. Mime who had a mask that was half black and half white (like Piedmon), and was wearing a strange garb like Kefka. "Who might you be you strange little clown?" Mr. D asked in curiosity. "NOT CLOWN! MIME!" Shouted the Mr. Mime before clearing his throat and answered "The name's Lord Gacy, master of illusion and assassin extraordinaire". "So, you have a little snake problem i've been hearing about, no?" Lord Gacy asked, reading Mr. D's mind. "Why yes I do Lord Gacy." Mr. D replied, as he started to listen to the Mr. Mime's plan...

At Pyre Frost Island (you'll get the Pyre part later) I put the cape that Sage Jirachi gave me on while Mew rested in my backpack, avoiding the harsh cold. This frozen paradise was beautiful especially at night. "Alex! I'm freezing my fur off! Have we found any clue on the triplets' location?" Mew asked while complaining. "Not yet!" I replied, trying to look through a map, but it didn't help that it started to snow! I walked blindly into the nasty snowstorm, when i noticed something weird. There was a Weavile and 2 Sneasels near the body of a Empoleon. What were they doing to it? As i tried to get closer to it, I noticed that one of the sneasels seem to have spotted me and warned the rest of its troop. The Weavile ordered the two sneasels to escape before using a weird rod to zap the Empoleon to wake it up.

As i arrived at the scene, the Empoleon looked strange, its wings were metallic, and its eyes glowed red like a machine's. Mew flew out of the backpack and noticed the metal monster. "Alex, it seems like Mr. D's dirty work is at hand here. That Empoleon is corrupted by machinery. You must take it out." Mew instructed. The battle began! As i tried to get close to the Empoleon, the penguin dove into the snow. "Where did he go?!" I asked, trying to find it. I noticed the points of its crown stick out of the ground, and it was heading towards me! As soon as I saw the pokemon hop out of the snow with its beak open, firing an Ice Beam attack. I managed to dodge the attack, and tried to whack it with my staff. I barely hit the Empoleon before it dove back into the snow. I tried the Ice beam attack again as it resurfaced, but a whacked the beak, and it went down! However, the fight didn't end. The Empoleon tried to hit me with Sheer Cold, but missed, and fell down with a thud.

I walked close to the felled Empoleon, to see if it was still alive. Unfortunately, it was dead. The machinery was too much, that it could never get up again. I noticed a small piplup, walking towards the now dead empoleon, and it was trying to wake it up. "Daddy, daddy?! Please, wake up!" The piplup cried. I felt bad now knowing that this empoleon had a kid of its own. The piplup turned to me, and asked "What happened to my daddy Mr?" I tried to explain, but i would sound like i was the one that did it. "Listen kid, a bunch of sneasels and a weavile did something to you dad." I told the piplup. The Piplup understood now, and started to walk away. I tried to stop it, but Mew popped out of my bag and said "There is nothing we could do for the poor child now. We must focus on finding the sages." She told me.

After more walking, I noticed a strange icy cave. I walked in, but there was a dead end. As I was turning around, i noticed a strange object. I picked up what looked like a pendant in the shape of a Clefairy. As I put it on, something weird was happening. The room to me was getting bigger, but in actuality, I was shrinking! I noticed a crack in the dead end, and i squeezed into it. Once i reached the other side, I took the pendant off, and i was my normal size. Mew flew out of my backpack. Three figures appeared in the room. Could these be the triplets? The figures appeared to be an Uxie, a Mespirit, and a Azelf. "So, you found our gift to you." Uxie said. "You have discovered one of its uses" Mespirit said and Azelf finished by adding "You just have to discover its other use." "Wise triplets, where is the location of the next sage?" I asked. Uxie started to explain "The fourth sage is being held on Aquamarine Cove." "But be careful..." Mespirit warned and Azelf finished by adding "You will run into someone strong." The three spirits vanished, and we were teleported out of the cave.

What did they mean by a strong opponent? I'll soon find out....
